Hello, and thank you for stopping by. I’m a mother of two, a 5-year-old girl and a 1-year-old boy. I am passionate about parenting, education and technology.
Parenting is my current job, I have signed a lifelong contract with my two adorable employers and it’s the most rewarding, yet challenging, job I have ever accepted. As a parent, I am my children’s first teacher, and I am committed to helping them explore the world around by nurturing their curiosity and answering their countless questions, which brings me to my next passion: Education.
During my first year at engineering school, I was hired to work on a NASA-funded project dedicated to raising awareness of the various careers in engineering and real-life applications of math and science in. elementary and middle schools students. Once I saw a child’s eyes light up after I explained something, I realized that education was my calling. I have worked in the education field for more than 10 years. I have developed curriculum; taught from gifted to at-risk-students; designed educational software; and produced websites for one of the largest children’s publishing, education and media companies in the world.
Finally, technology! Technology enhances my life in ways no mother could have imagined 20 years ago. With just one device, my Windows Phone 7, I can communicate in countless ways with the rest of the world: record the latest milestones of my baby and email it to my husband; play Connect Four with my daughter; find a new recipe for tonight’s dinner; keep track of the my expenses; and play the ukulele. I absolutely love the endless possibilities that this device brings into my life. I also enjoy developing Windows Phone applications and sharing them with the rest of the world.
My goal for this website as a parent is to provide other parents with an opportunity to learn about Windows Phone applications that will enhance their lives and will teach and entertain their children.
I am also pursuing the unique opportunity of providing developers a direct channel of communications with parents interested in family-friendly applications. As a developer, my goal is to raise the bar when designing educational applications by sharing best practices when developing educational technology. I am committed to providing learning tools for any parent who is interested in developing their own Windows Phone application.
As an educator, my ultimate goal is to assist teachers and consequently, parents in using Windows Phone applications as educational tools.
Windows Phone Parent is the greatest opportunity I’ve ever had to combine my passion for parenting, education and technology. I hope you enjoy our site as much as I do!

Hi there! When WPMom, my lovely wife, pitched me her idea for Windows Phone Parent, I immediately saw its potential. I am a parent and a developer. The concept of creating a community where we can share ideas, provide feedback and support the Windows Phone community is really a no-brainer. Other than providing some technical support for this site, I will be writing app reviews from a father’s perspective. I am also looking forward to blogging about Windows Phone application development and best practices. We have plenty of ideas for the site, but would also love to hear from you. So, I encourage you to contact us and let us know any topic or ideas you would like to see emerging from this community. This is yours as much as it is ours!
